
Balasudhakar Mouli
Balasudhakar is a prominent Telugu poet and writer from Poram village in Vizianagaram district, North Andhra. Since the publication of his first poetry collection in 2014, he has authored eight poetry collections, one long poem, and recently his debut short story collection Kunnemma, published by Chaaya Publishers, Hyderabad.
He also brings out a trimonthly literary bulletin Champaavathi (Kalingadhra Sahitya Sanchika) and works as a high school teacher. His fourth poetry collection, Bhoomi Pedaalapai (Nadiya Hudukata), was translated into Kannada by Ashok Agil and published in 2023 by Lumbini Prakasana, Challakere. His Hindi poetry collection Laal Pankhonwale Kabootar (Selected Poems), translated by Dr. Ganesh Ram, was published in 2024 by Authors Press, New Delhi.
Balasudhakar has received several literary honors, including the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar (2018) for his poetry collection Aaku Kadalani Chota, the Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad Yuva Puraskar (2015), Free Verse Front Award (2016), and many others such as the Kolakaluri Bhagiradhi Puraskaram, Ummidishetty Sahitya Puraskaram, Vimala Santhi Puraskaram, Kalekuri Smaraka Puraskaram, Penna Sahitya Puraskaram, Gidugu Rammurthi Panthulu Puraskaram, and Yuva Chaitanya Puraskaram.
