“Baala Saheb Lokapur is one of the prominent post-modern Kannada writers. He has contributed significantly to various literary genres, authoring works that span across short stories, novels, and poetry. His story collections include Kavanigallu, Haaruva Hakki Mattu Aakaasha, Tanu Karagadavaralli, and Kangalu Tumbida Bhalika. His novels include Udho Udho, Hutta, Bisilupura, and Neelaganga. He has also published a poetry collection titled Bhramarange.
For his contributions to literature, Baala Saheb has received several prestigious awards, including the Karnataka Sahitya Academy Award, the Chaduranga Award, and the 2019 Vardhamana Sahitya Award.”
