Padmini Nagaraju
Padmini Nagaraju is a writer, poet, playwright, and academic from Saligrama in Mysuru district. With a doctorate from the University of Mysore, she has taught at Rani Saraladevi College, served on the Advisory Committee of the Sahitya Akademi, and as Secretary of the Sahitya Parishat.
Her acclaimed works include the poetry collections GeḷathiyÄguvudendare and Uriva Beá¹…kige Maiyella BÄyi PurÄve NÄ«á¸abÄ“killa, the short story collection SamÄdhi Melina Hoovu, the play Avva, as well as essays, biographies, edited volumes, and translations. She has been honoured with several awards, including the Umadevi Datti Award, Infosys Sudha Murthy Award, Rangashilpi, and the Srinivasa SmaraṇÄrtha P.K. Narayana Datti Award.
