Shanthi K Appanna
Shanthi K. Appanna is a writer from the lush hills of Kodagu, now based in Chennai where she works with the Railways. Her stories stand out for their emotional depth and subtle portrayal of everyday life.
She has authored two acclaimed books — Manasu Abhisarike Ondu Bagilu and Muru Chillare Varshagalu. Her debut collection won the Chanda Pustaka Award, and she was honoured with the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in 2017, affirming her place among Kannada literature’s promising voices.
At BBLF 2025, Shanthi K. Appanna joins the festival to share her journey and her craft of weaving powerful narratives from ordinary moments.
