Hemanth M. Rao is a celebrated filmmaker and storyteller known for his thought-provoking narratives and distinct visual style. Starting his career as an assistant director, he went on to make his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu (2016), which established him as one of the most promising voices in Kannada cinema.

He followed it up with the gripping psychological thriller Kavaludaari (2019) and co-wrote the screenplay for Andhadhun (2018), one of the most lauded Hindi films of recent years. His works are known for blending emotional depth with engaging storytelling, often exploring human relationships, memory, and morality.
