Murugan
Dr. Thirumoolar Murugan (b. June 20, 1975) is a Tamil scholar, educator, and writer based in Chennai. He holds a Ph.D. in Tamil (2012), an M.A. and B.A. in Tamil Literature from Pachaiyappa’s College, and a B.Ed. from Lady Willingdon Institute. He currently serves as a Postgraduate Assistant in Tamil at the Government Higher Secondary School in Kodambakkam, Chennai. He has authored several works including Folk Culture and Temples, Folk Rituals of Tamil Nadu, and The Philosophy of Thirumoolar on Yoga, and has presented at national and international seminars. A passionate teacher and cultural contributor, Dr. Murugan has also served in multiple government schools and colleges since 2002, and has been honored for his academic and literary achievements. He is actively engaged in Tamil literary and cultural discourse, combining scholarship with community engagement.
