M.V. Pratibha is a law graduate and an accomplished theatre artist from Sagara, Shivamogga district, Karnataka. Her journey in theatre began during her college days and grew into a lifelong passion. She founded Spandana (R), a theatre troupe in Sagara, which has now completed 20 years of vibrant presence in Kannada theatre.

With over 30 years of experience, Pratibha has played multiple roles in the field—actor, director, organiser, and mentor. Through Spandana, she has taken socially relevant plays to audiences across Karnataka, blending creativity with social awareness. Her plays often explore contemporary issues, particularly those affecting women and children.

She has directed and acted in several award-winning plays at the state and district levels and served as a jury member in theatre competitions. Her dedicated work in children’s theatre includes designing school-based drama activities that integrate academics with emotional and social learning.

Under her leadership, Spandana has grown into a key cultural organisation, promoting drama and art with sensitivity and innovation. The troupe’s work reflects traditional stories, modern social concerns, and the complexities of contemporary life.

Pratibha continues to inspire young minds through workshops, theatre training, and summer camps that nurture creativity, imagination, and teamwork among children.
