
Renuka Kodagunti
Renuka Kodagunti hails from Maski in Raichur district and is currently based in Bengaluru. Daughter of Ayyappa and Shantamma Kodagunti, she holds M.A. and M.Phil degrees and is deeply interested in literature and research. She runs Kruti Deevege Trust and actively teaches Kannada to non-Kannada speakers.
Her published works include the poetry collection Balapada Chooru (2011), folk song compilations such as Namma Kannad Premada Jyoti (2011) and Ijabupana Pada (2019), and several research-based works including Bhashavijnana Samshodhane Indu (2011), Shavasamskara in Karnataka (2009), and Death Rituals among Backward and Tribal Communities in Karnataka (2020). She is currently collecting folk riddles and dollu songs and is working on compiling the Maski Kannada Dictionary. Known for her short stories rooted in rural life, she also contributes columns regularly to Book Brahma.
