
Ramalingappa T Begur
Ramalingappa T. Begur is a noted critic and writer, originally from Teppada Begur village in Nelamangala taluk. He was born on December 29, 1968.
He completed his M.A. in Kannada from Bangalore University with First Rank and was awarded six gold medals. He has served as a Kannada lecturer in several places including Bangalore, Challakere, Kukkanur, Kolar, and Chintamani. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at Kengeri Degree College.
Ramalingappa has contributed extensively to Kannada poetry, literary criticism, essays, and research. He was honored with the G.S.S. Poetry Award. His published works include Mayapathala, Sankarabandi, Margantara, Parakaya, Edward Said, and Allamaprabhu: A Pre-modern Reinterpretation.
He presided over the 6th Taluk Kannada Literary Conference of Nelamangala. He received a Ph.D. from Kannada University, Hampi for his thesis titled The Structure and Philosophy of Kannada Literary Criticism. He is also the Associate Editor of Hosathu, a publication by Navakarnataka Publications.
