L. N. Mukundaraj is a renowned writer of the new generation, a Kannada MA holder who has served in various government degree colleges. He has published poetry collections like Desh Kosha Dasavala, Nirankusha, plays like Vaishampayana Thira, Ego Panjara Ago Mugilu, Sangrama Bharata, many biographies and translated works. He has also participated in and acted in All India Radio and Doordarshan programs. Apart from participating in many poetry gatherings, he has also worked as the editor of Talented Parliamentary Writers' Book Series and Suvarna Sambraham. He has worked as a leader of teachers' organizations, founder of many organizations, and convener of the PU Curriculum Board. He has received awards such as the Karnataka Sahitya Academy, Visvesvaraya Award, Kempegowda Award.
