Kavi Yakoob, is a well-known name in the world of Telugu literature. He is a poet, researcher, writer and singer who has a Master’s degree in Telugu, in addition to a PhD.   His publications including 'Pravahinchegnaapakam' (1992), followed by 'Sarihaddu Rekha' (2002), 'Yedategani Prayaanam' (2009) and 'Nadeemoolam Laanti Aa Yillu' (2016) were very well-received and have been a significant contribution to the wealth of Telugu Literature. His poems were translated into English and published under the title 'Arc of Unrest' (2000).   Yakoob has edited twelve books and has authored eight others on Literary Criticism, and over the years, has been honoured with several awards. He is also the founder of Kavisangamam, a Telugu Poetry forum, in addition to the Rottamaku Revu Poetryspace Foundation (RRPF). Yakoob has recently been appointed as Telugu Advisory Board Member for Kendra Sahitya Akademi.
