Harisankar is a contemporary Tamil writer from Puducherry, known for his novels, short stories, and novellas. He began writing at the age of seventeen, with his children's story series Mayapadagu published in Puduvai Bharathi. His works are deeply rooted in the social and cultural life of Puducherry. He is the author of the novels Paris, Mahe Café, Truths, Lies, Imaginations, and Karappan (2026). In addition, he has published four short story collections and two volumes of novellas. His novel Paris and two of his short stories have been translated into French, earning his work wider recognition beyond Tamil readers.
