Siddharthan Sundaram is a Bengaluru-based translator, writer, and literary critic from Madurai. Holding an MBA and a PGSCM, he took voluntary retirement in 2014 after more than two decades with leading market research firms, including ORG, ORG-MARG, and Nielsen. A prolific translator, he has translated over 20 books into Tamil, including works by Malcolm Gladwell, Philip Kotler, Harper Lee, J.D. Salinger, Svetlana Alexievich, Vithal Venkatesh Kamath, Subroto Bagchi, Ravi Subramanian, and others. His translations have been published by leading publishers such as Vikatan, NBT, Sixthsense, Ethir, Seermai, Pustaka, and the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation. He received the Kalaignar Karunanidhi Porkizhi Award for Translation in 2018. In addition to translation, he writes on literature, retail, economics, market research, and entrepreneurship for prominent English and Tamil publications.
