Mani Maaran is a renowned Tamil scholar, manuscriptologist, researcher, and author. He serves as Tamil Pandit at the Sarasvati Mahal Library, Thanjavur. He has authored and edited over 40 books on Tamil literature, history, archaeology, and palm-leaf manuscripts. A recipient of several prestigious honours, including the Kalanidhi Award, U.Ve.Sa. Award, and Pathippuchemmal Award, he is also the Founder and President of Yedagam, an institution dedicated to preserving and promoting Tamil language, culture, and heritage.
