Aash Ashitha is an emerging and influential voice in contemporary Malayalam literature, acclaimed for her evocative storytelling, poetry, and translation work. Her notable literary works include the short story collection Mungankuzhi, Jenniferum Poochakannukalum and the novel Mushrooms and Cats, both of which have earned appreciation for their distinctive narrative style and contemporary sensibility.   A skilled translator, she brought Kannada writer Vasudhendra's acclaimed work Mohanaswamy to Malayalam readers, contributing significantly to literary exchange between Indian languages. Ashitha's stories and poems are regularly featured in leading literary periodicals, and her poetry has been translated into English and German, appearing in international journals such as Redleaf Journal and STRASSENSTIMMEN (Street Voices). She has received several prestigious honours, including the Kairali-Atlas Literary Award and the T. M. Chacko Master Literary Award.
