Santhosh Echikkanam is a prominent Indian writer and screenwriter in Malayalam cinema. He is best known for his short stories Komala and Biriyani, and for writing the screenplays of films such as Annayum Rasoolum and Bachelor Party. He has worked as a teacher at Durga Higher Secondary School, Kanhangad, and was also associated with Akashvani. He has received several literary honors, including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Story, the Padmaprabha Literary Award, the Karur Award, and the Pravasi Basheer Award, among others.
