Prabha S. is a distinguished library educator, children's literature advocate, and Chief Library Officer with the Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of Karnataka. Currently serving at DSERT and the State Educational Resource and Information Center (SERIC), she has played a pivotal role in strengthening school libraries and promoting reading culture across Karnataka.

As a State Resource Person, she has trained educators in library development, classroom libraries, and the use of E-Granthalaya library management software. She has also presented research on the role of school libraries at the NCERT National Conference on School Libraries (NCSL 2025) and has led initiatives to transform school libraries into vibrant learning spaces.

A passionate promoter of children's literature, Prabha is a picture book writer, storyteller, translator, and creator of a storytelling YouTube channel. Her work also includes editing a Kannada School Library Manual, contributing to digital educational resources, and championing community initiatives that promote literacy, sustainability, and lifelong learning.
