Pa.Sagadevan’s novel ‘Anthimam’  (2023) looks at Koramangala from a migrant’s point of view. It observes both the changing topography and the unchanging nature of humans, nonchalantly, over four decades. As an academic researcher he identified the versatility of folk religion in offering stiff resistance to vedic religion through a comparison of two folk epics, Maleya Madeshwara (Kannada) and Annanmar Kathai (Tamil). So fascinated by the earthly nature of religion he attempted to  trace the history of Syrian Christians of Keralam right from the days of St. Thomas. Fanatical about the power and range of contemporary Kannada literature, he translated the works of Purnachandra Tejaswi, Banu Mushtaq and K Y Narayanasamy into Tamil. Tejaswi’s work fetched him the Central Sahitya Akademi award.
