Geetha Bhat

Geetha Bhat, the founder of Center for Revival of Indigenous Arts, is a multifaceted artist, educator, and cultural ambassador with a diverse background in traditional arts, including Origami, Ikebana, and Chittara painting. She has been working with the Deevaru Community for over two decades on their art form Chittara. Through her fieldwork, she has conducted numerous introductory workshops on Chittara in several educational institutions across the country. Chittara Murals have also been commissioned in various public spaces, such as South Western Railways, Spicmacay Resource Center, Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts (IGNCA), Indian Music Experience, and more. Her research has also led her to present papers about Chittara at international conferences in Japan.
