Anil Thirumangalam is a theatre practitioner, playwright, and director, and the Founder-Director of Lockdown Artworks, an independent theatre collective based in Bengaluru. Over the years, he has written and directed numerous short and full-length plays, with productions staged across Bengaluru as well as in Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram, including as the opening performance at the prestigious Soorya Festival.

Writing primarily in Malayalam, while also working in English and Hindi, Anil's theatre explores the possibilities of intimate performance in urban spaces and reflects the richness of multicultural experiences. Deeply committed to theatre as a powerful medium of artistic expression and human connection, he continues to create works that celebrate dialogue, diversity, and the unifying spirit of performance.
