Challapalli Swaroopa Rani is a distinguished Telugu Dalit feminist poet, writer, scholar, and academic. She is a Professor at the Centre for Buddhist Studies, Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh. Widely recognized as a pioneering Dalit feminist voice in Telugu literature, her poetry and essays explore caste, gender, social justice, and the lived experiences of Dalit women.
A Buddhist scholar and historian, she brings together academic insight and personal experience to highlight the struggles and resilience of marginalized communities. She has authored more than a dozen books and is regarded as one of the most influential contemporary voices in Telugu literature.
