N.C. Mahesh is a Kannada writer, playwright, theatre critic, and academic from Benachanahalli in Bengaluru Rural district, Karnataka. He holds a Master's degree in Kannada from Bangalore University and has worked with Kannada Prabha and Prajavani before joining academia. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Surana College, Bengaluru.
A passionate literary and theatre personality, Mahesh has authored short story collections, a novel, and over 15 plays. His acclaimed plays Sala Teerisu Ghalib, Sakutande Rumi, and Summaniru Diogenes have received prestigious awards in state-level playwriting competitions. He has also contributed as an editor, translator, and columnist, with his writings on theatre, literature, and culture appearing in leading Kannada publications.
Mahesh is a four-time winner of the Prajavani Deepavali Story Competition and continues to make significant contributions to Kannada literature and theatre.
