Anita Agnihotri is an acclaimed Indian author, poet, and former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, widely regarded as one of the leading voices in contemporary Bengali literature. A prolific writer, she has authored more than 50 books, including novels, short stories, poetry, essays, and children's literature, earning widespread recognition for her powerful narratives and social insight.   Alongside an illustrious literary career, Agnihotri served in the Indian Administrative Service for over three decades, holding several key leadership positions before retiring as Secretary to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
