T. S. Goravar is a Kannada writer, journalist, editor, and researcher from Rajur village in Gadag district. He holds a postgraduate degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Karnatak University, Dharwad, and a Ph.D. from Hampi Kannada University. He has worked extensively in journalism and literature, bringing together his experience as a journalist with a strong commitment to Kannada writing.

His published works span several genres, including short stories, novels, experiential narratives, prose poetry, life writing, and plays. His notable works include Bhrame, Kudari Master, Mallige Hoovina Sakha, Aadu Kaayo Hudugana Dinachari, Rotti Mutagi, Gayagondive Tuti Ninnave Pada Haadi, and Hasiru Towel. He has also edited Baravanigeya Taalimu and written plays including Mallige Hoovina Sakha and Chavari.

Dr. Goravar has received several honours, including the Karnataka Sahitya Akademi Award, D. R. Bendre Book Award, Basavaraj Kattimani Award, and recognition from literary and journalism institutions. His stories, experiential writings, and articles have been included in the curricula of undergraduate programmes at Karnatak University, Mangalore University, and Bengaluru University.

He worked as a Sub-Editor at Vijaya Karnataka for eight years. In 2018, driven by his vision of independent journalism, he founded the literary monthly magazine Akshara Sangata and continues to serve as its editor.
