Sanket Patil builds data and AI products for a living. He is part of the founding team at DataWeave where he leads AI strategy and innovation. A computer scientist with a PhD in network science, he continues to engage with academia through research collaborations and teaching as Adjunct Faculty at IIIT-Bangalore. Outside of tech, Sanket is deeply interested in language, literature, culture, society, sustainability, and their interplay. He is part of the Tamarind Valley Collective—a community centered on sustainable living and regenerative farming. A writer and translator, his Kannada translation of Peggy Mohan’s Wanderers, Kings, Merchants: The Story of India through its Languages was published in 2025 (ಅಲೆಮಾರಿಗಳು ಅರಸರು ವರ್ತಕರು: ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಹಾದಿಗುಂಟ ಭಾರತದ ಕಥನ). He runs a small Kannada literary and cultural newsletter called Konaru (ಕೊನರು) that has developed into an interesting literary space for serious readers.
