Paroma Chatterjee is a seasoned Banking, Fintech and Digital Consumer Business professional with more than 2 decades of experience working with some of the leading Global and Indian organisations. She spent the first phase of her career in banking, launching cards and digital payments for banks like ICICI Bank & Kotak Mahindra Bank in the 2000’s. Since then, she has been at the forefront of the Digital and Fintech revolution in India, starting with launching the first mobile wallet for the leading telecom company - Airtel Money - back in 2010. Paroma has since launched and scaled several flagship digital businesses - including the marketplace business for the e-Commerce behemoth Flipkart. After that she led the scale up of the Indian FinTech company Lendingkart to a USD 400 million book. She joined Revolut in April 2021 to take charge as the CEO of Revolut India. Revolut India is a wholly owned subsidiary of London headquartered global Fintech company, Revolut Group, which is the UK’s fastest growing private tech company and one of Europe’s largest FinTechs. In her capacity as India CEO, Paroma has made Revolut one of just two global companies to obtain the necessary licenses and authorisations from the RBI, to build and launch the first of its kind integrated app in India that combines digital wallets with domestic UPI payments, along with prepaid Visa cards for both local and multi-currency international spending. In recognition of her professional accomplishments and contribution to industry, Paroma has been bestowed with several prestigious awards. She has been featured in the FinTech Magazine’s list of Top 100 Women in FinTech four years in a row 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. She was bestowed with the prestigious Global Indian of the Year award in the House of Commons, London, in 2023 - for her accomplishments in upholding the pride of India on the international stage. Paroma is also a member of IAMAI's governing council and FICCI’s fintech committee. She has been felicitated as the CEO of the Year 2023 by the AI 100 Awards, apart from being featured among the Top Women CEOs of 2021 by Entrepreneur India, and being named one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in Financial Technology of Asia for 2020
