Madhumita Kumar Rajan is a lawyer and member of the Free Libraries Network (FLN).
FLN is a collective of community-owned and free libraries across India working to
advance the right to read and equitable access to books. FLN is also demanding law
and policy that recognizes reading as a right and a framework for free public libraries
that are inclusive and serve all.
A graduate of the National Law School of India University, Madhumita has worked in
the publishing, industry, including as Head of Legal at publishing houses. She
advises authors, publishers, and non-profit organizations on issues relating to
publishing, copyright, and access to knowledge.
