Ramu Patil is a senior journalist known for his excellent communication skills, strong leadership, and insightful reporting.   He is an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) conducted by the U.S. Department of State and has also completed the BBC Journalists' Training Programme.   Ramu Patil is a recipient of the Karnataka Media Academy Award. In 2012, he received the prestigious Press Institute of India (PII) – International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Award for Best Humanitarian Reporting in Indian Print Media, in recognition of his reports from Baghdad and other parts of Iraq.
