Kiran Upadhyaya is a Kannada author, translator, and cultural ambassador whose work reflects a deep engagement with literature, language, and the global Kannada community. Originally from Kumta in Uttara Kannada district and educated in Sirsi, he began his professional career as a civil engineer, working with leading industrial organizations before relocating to the Gulf, where he has lived and worked in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain for over three decades.   He is the author of more than five books, including the translated work Aastikate and the acclaimed titles Vishwatomukha, Videshavasi, Paradeshavasi, Horadeshavasi, and Dooradeshavasi. He also serves as an international correspondent for Vishwavani daily, bringing global perspectives and international developments to Kannada readers.
