Hailing from Tumakuru district, Madhu Y. N. is a celebrated voice in contemporary Kannada literature who masterfully bridges the worlds of modern technology and profound storytelling. An engineer by profession with degrees from the Global Academy of Technology and BITS Pilani, he began his career at Infosys and currently works with IBM in Bengaluru. His literary journey gained major recognition when his debut short story collection, Karehannu, won the prestigious Ee Hottige Short Story Collection Award in 2019. Since then, he has pioneered new genres in Kannada, authoring acclaimed works like the tech essay collection Dark Web, the experimental short story collection FIFO, and the non-fiction guide Artificial Intelligence - In Simple Kannada. His acclaimed novels, Kanase Kadumallige and Inti Poorvi, belong to the bildungsroman genre—a rarity in Kannada literature. He is also a passionate science communicator who pens the popular "TechPost" column for Vijaya Karnataka.
