Aananth Daksnamurthy is a new voice in the world of indie publishing. His publishing imprint, Two Shores Press, is supported under the New York-based Ulysses Press’ Indie Accelerator. Aananth is the recipient of the initial edition of the SALT (South Asian Literature In Translation) initiative’s Publishers’ Travel Grant and is actively seeking titles from South Indian languages to publish and distribute in the US. He also operates in the Tamil language market, with recent acquisitions including the International Booker Prize 2024 shortlist, Ia Genberg’s The Details. He graduated from New York University’s Publishing program with the prestigious Fulbright-Nehru fellowship. He is also a literary translator (British Centre for Literary Translation Summer School 2023), working between Tamil and English.
