Ajay Varma Alluri
Ajay Varma Alluri is a bilingual writer and translator from Karnataka. He has so far published Gagana Sindhu (Kannada Poetry collection), Diana Mara, Kalala Kanneeti Paata, Vimukthe, Naalkane Ekare, Nalana Damayanti, RSS: Lothupathulu, Damayantiya Magalu (Translations into Kannada and Telugu). He has bagged the D. R. Bendre Poetry Prize, A. N. Krishna Rao Short Story Prize, Prahalada Agasanakatte Award, Kuvempu Bhasha Bharathi Award for his works. He has previously worked with Oxford University Press as a Kannada Language editor and as a research fellow at Ashoka Centre for Translation, Ashoka University. Few of his writings and translations have been prescribed in the University curricula. He has participated as a speaker in various literary festivals across India and presented papers in several national and international seminars and conferences. Ajay is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Translation Studies from English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad.
