
“Anupama Prasad is a distinguished Kannada writer, known for her short stories, plays, and biographical narratives.
Her notable short stories include Chetana, Karaveerada Gida, Doorathira, and Jogati Jolige. She also authored Ardha Kathanaka, a story about the renowned Kasaragod storyteller M. Vyasa, as narrated by his son, Tejasvi Vyasa. In addition, she has written a radio play titled Kenneeru and a stage play called Manasu Mayaya Hide.
The manuscript of her short story collection Karaveerada Gida received the Mumbelaku Sahitya Award in 2009 (conferred by Rangakarmi Sadananda Suvarna), the Bendre Book Award in 2011, and the Attimabbe Award. Her short story collection Doorathira was honored with the Triveni Katha Award by the Karnataka Writers’ Association, Bangalore, and also received several accolades, including the “”Vasudeva Bhoopalam”” Endowment Katha Award from the Kannada Sahitya Parishad.”
