Aruna Yediyal
“Dr Aruna Yadiyal is currently serving as a Professor and Unit Head in the Department of Psychiatry at Father Muller Medical College in Mangalore A practicing psychiatrist by profession, she has a passion for reading and writing in both Kannada and English She authored the column “Manōrathave” in the Udayavani daily newspaper for two years
Dr Yadiyal has had numerous articles, stories, and poems—covering psycho-psychological and other themes—published in popular weekly magazines and dailies She has also served as the editor for the Karnataka branch of the Indian Psychological Association
She received the “Katilu Shri Appu Pai Award” in 2006 for achieving the top rank in the postgraduate exams, and in 2016, she was honored with the S S Jayarama Award for her contributions to psychiatric literature
Her book Makkala Mana, Moggina Hūvana earned the “Dr Sunanda R Kulkarni Best Medical Literature Manuscript Award”—presented by the Karnataka State Branch of the Indian Medical Association”
