
C G Lakshmipati
C. G. Lakshmipathi is a sociologist, writer, and educator currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at V.H.D. Central Institute of Home Science, Bengaluru. With teaching experience at Kanakapura Rural College, Kannada University, and several government degree colleges, he brings both academic depth and grassroots insight into his work.
Hailing from Tumakuru district, Lakshmipathi studied at T.V.V. College, Madhugiri, and completed his postgraduate degree in Sociology from Bangalore University. He holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies from Kannada University, Hampi, and a diploma in Journalism from the University of Mysore.
His books reflect his diverse interests — from caste and culture to sexuality, travel, and Ambedkarite thought. Notable works include Caste Chemistry, Chitrale Vriksha: India’s Cultural Narrative of Sexuality, Thailand: A Gentle Smile (travelogue), Nija Bhramegala Roopaka (essays), Matantara Satyanveshane (editor), Karnatakada Samajashastra, Ambedkarvada Aacharana, and Aadhunikottara Mattu Marxvadottara.
