
Chithra Balasubramanian has been involved in the teaching profession for fifteen years as a Tamil lecturer. She holds M.A. and M.Phil. degrees from the University of Madras. She also worked as a coordinator with the community FM station of M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women.
She has been active in the media field for over twenty-five years as a newsreader and programme anchor with All India Radio and Doordarshan, Chennai.
During the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, she presented a year-long series of programmes on Gandhi and conducted sixteen interviews with various personalities about his life and philosophy.
She has published two books so far: மணà¯à®£à®¿à®²à¯ உபà¯à®ªà®¾à®©à®µà®°à¯à®•ள௠and செயலறமà¯. Her articles have appeared in leading Tamil magazines such as Kalachuvadu, Hindu Tamil, Sarvodayam Malargirathu, and others.
She has also delivered lectures on various topics, including literature, books, Gandhi, the environment, and more.”
