Born in Chitradurga, Karnataka, Mallesh H.V is a distinguished artist with a Post Diploma in Printmaking from Kala Bhavan, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan. His extensive participation in group exhibitions includes notable shows such as “Vis-à-Vis The Art Therapy” at M.S University Exhibition Hall (2023), “Anicca” at Studio 23N72E, Ahmedabad (2019), and “Vis-à-Vis The Art Therapy” during the Kochi- Muziris Biennale (2018).
Mr. Mallesh’s solo exhibitions, including “Rediscovering Roadies” at Priyasri Art Gallery, Mumbai (2011), highlight his versatility and depth. He has also actively participated in various art camps and workshops, such as the Vishnu Manchu Art Foundation Painting Camp in Tirupati and the National Lithography Camp at Lalita Kala Academy, New Delhi.
Awarded the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (2024) and the 54th National Award by the Central Lalit Kala Academy (2012), Mallesh’s work is recognized both nationally and internationally. He is also the recipient of Junior fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, New Delhi. Currently, he continues to create and inspire from his base in Vadodara, where he completed a residency at Space Studio (2020-2023).
