
Narayana Yaji
Narayana Yaji is an artist and storyteller from Salebail near Kere Mane Gunavante in Uttara Kannada. Well known in the world of Yakshagana as a percussionist (Talamaddale), he combines his deep interest in Yakshagana, economics, and micro-finance in his creative and professional life.
His articles on Yakshagana and economics have appeared in various publications. He works as an assistant at the Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank’s regional office in Vijayapura.
His debut short story collection, Naidileya Odalu, has been widely appreciated, and his story Vyasta won a prize in the Utthana magazine story competition.
At BBLF 2025, Narayana Yaji brings his rhythmic narrative style, shaped by both art and economics, to celebrate stories rooted in Karnataka’s culture.
