
Dr. Nataraj Huliyar is a short story writer, novelist, columnist, poet and critic. Born in Huliyar town, Tumkur district Karnataka, India, he did his Masters in English and has done his Ph.D., on ‘Tradition and Modernity in Modern African and Kannada Literature: A comparative Study.’ He is a Professor of English and teaches Comparative Literature at Centre of Kannada Studies, Bangalore University, and is also the Director of Centre for Gandhian Studies. He is the former Dean of school of languages, and Head of the Dept. of English, Central University of Karnataka. He lives in Bangalore.
