Padmanabh Bhat
Padmanabha Bhat, journalist and writer, was born on June 27, 1990, in Shevkar village of Ankola taluk, Uttara Kannada district. He holds a postgraduate degree in Journalism from Karnataka University, Dharwad.
He began his career as a reporter and sub-editor at Prajavani and later worked as a sub-editor at Sudha weekly. Currently, he is associated with Vayacom.
With a keen interest in cinema, theatre, and literature, Bhat made his literary debut with the short story collection Kepina Dabbi. The book has earned him several accolades, including the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar, Karnataka Sahitya Akademi’s Datti Award, Chanda Book Prize, Masti Short Story Award, Toto Award, and more.
