T S Channesh
Dr. T. S. Channesh is a soil scientist and science communicator based in Bengaluru with over 25 years of experience. He holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture, M.Sc. in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, and a Ph.D. in Soil Science. Channesh has worked as a scientist at the Indian Institute of Science’s KSCST, served as Professor & Head in History of Sciences at Kannada University, and led research and testing labs at Krishi Vigyan Kendra. As a consultant and freelance writer, he authors columns in Vijaya Karnataka. His achievements include developing India’s first on-farm soil testing kit, guiding five Ph.D. scholars, publishing over 75 popular science articles, 15 research papers, and five science books, and earning the Karnataka State Science & Technology Academy Award for agricultural science writing . He also engages the public through lectures and radio, delivering talks on science and technology in both Kannada and English .
