Vasudhendra

Vasudhendra is a prominent Kannada author and publisher, acclaimed for his compelling short stories, novels, and personal essays. His notable works include Mohanaswamy, Tejo-Tungabhadra, Harichitta Satya, Reshme Batte and several essay collections such as Kothigalu and Varnamaya. His writing is known for its emotional depth, cultural insight, and bold themes, particularly his pathbreaking portrayal of queer identity in Kannada literature.

He is the founder of Chanda Pustaka, a respected publishing house that has published over 100 books and supported numerous emerging Kannada writers. His works have been translated into multiple languages, and he has received numerous literary honors, including the Karnataka Sahitya Academy Award, Da Raa Bendre Story Award, and the U. R. Ananthamurthy Award.
