D. V. Guruprasad -A retired police officer, who served as the state’s Chief of Police Intelligence, D.V. Guruprasad has also made his mark in the world of Kannada literature. He has brought out his professional life experiences and his thoughts or ideas through his creative works. One gets to see both the wonders and strange or bizarre things of the criminal world in his works. He is also a columnist for the English daily Deccan Herald. He has written more than 60 books including, ‘Police Jeevanadalli Hasya’, ‘Veerappan: dantachorana ennatti’, ‘Kaige Banda Tuthu’, ‘Police Encounter’, ‘Crime Kathegalu’.
