E Santhosh Kumar is one of the leading contemporary Malayalam writers. His first published short story was ‘Galapagos’ which later on was published also as a collection. He won his first Kerala Sahitya Academy award in 2006 for “Chavukali“, a collection of short stories. His novel, Andhakaranazhi, published in 2012 considered his best and won him Kerala Sahitya Akademy award for best novel in 2012. His contributions have largely been in the novel and short stories genre. He works with the National Insurance Company.
