H.S. Shivaprakash, a distinguished poet and writer, has graced the School of Arts and Aesthetics at JNU, New Delhi, with his profound insights. Formerly directing the Tagore Center in Berlin, he brings a rich tapestry of literary heritage to his work with his poetry collection of Milarepa, Malebidda Neladalli, Anukshana Charite, Suryajala, and many more, along with his plays like Sultan Tipu, Shakespeare Swapnanauke and Madari Madayya, to name a few. Shivaprakash is the recipient of the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award for his collection ‘Mabbina Kanive Haasi’; Kusumagraja Rashtriya Puraskar; Four Kannada Sahitya Akademi Best Book Prizes; Sangeet Natak Akademi Award; and is the Honorary Fellow of the School of Letters, University of Iowa, since 2000.
