Novelist, columnist, author and translator MR Dattatri originally hails from Chikmagalur. Graduated in Engineering in Computer Science from University of Mysore he has worked in KGF, Pune, San Francisco and Los Angeles and now resides in Bangalore. 

Dattatri has many achievements in the field of information technology and has worked with many multinational companies as a resource person in the field of ERP cloud technology. He has worked as a technology and project management advisor to several companies in the US and India and is interested in literature, philosophy, and travelling. 

 Dattatri’s first published work was ‘Alemari Kanasugalu’. His other published books include ‘Purva-Pashchima’, ‘Dweepava Bayasi’, ‘Tarabayiya Patra’, ‘Ondondu Talege Ondondu Bele’. 

 He has received many honorary awards including Dr.Ha.Ma. Nayaka Award from Shimoga Karnataka Sangh for his achievement in literary field, Suryanarayana Chadaga Award, Sedam Amma Award, Masti Novel Award and Dr. Narahalli Award.
