Mohanarangan

Ka. Mohanarangan (born 1967) is a vocational teacher at a Government Higher Secondary School and a seasoned Tamil writer known for his contributions to poetry, critical essays, and translations. His published works include five poetry collections (Nedu Vazhi Thanimai, Idam Peyarntha Kadal, Mee Kaamam, Kallaapizhai, and Ninaivaal Anayum Mugam), two essay collections (Sol Porul Mounam and Mai Pothi Vizhakku), one short story translation collection (Kurangu Valarkkum Pen), and seven poetry translation collections, including Neerukku Kathavugal Illai, Ange Sorkalukku Idamillai, Neeril Thondrum Nila, Idhayangalin Uthaviyaalar (Rumi poems), Paaya Kathirukum Onai (Abbas Kiarostami poems), and Unnai Kavithaiyaga Mattrubavan. His own short story collection, Anbin Ainthinai, adds to his diverse literary repertoire. He has received several awards, including the Kovai Devamagal Trust Award, Aathmanaam Award, and the Jeyakanthan Award from the Vijaya Readers Forum in Coimbatore. He resides in Erode with his wife and son.
