Mounesha Badigera who is a stage director and stage actor is also a storyteller. Active in Kannada theatre, Mounesh won the 2015 Central Sahitya Akademi Youth Award for his stories collection ‘Maya Kolahala’, Toto Award, Dr.U.R. Ananthamurthy Puraskar and Basavaraja Kattimani Puraskar. His published plays include ‘Vishanke – Vidhwansaka Shanti Kendra’ and ‘Tapalumani’ (an adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s play Dak-garh). In ‘Kannada Kavya Kannadi’ produced by Neenasam, he directed Kuvempu and Chandrasekhara Kambar’s poems as visual poetry, the short film ‘Nirvana’ based on Viveka Shanabhag and the Kannada film ‘Sujidara’ which released nationwide in 2019. His work ‘Premavemba Avargeeya Vyanjana’ is a collection of recent love poems.
