Pratibha Nandakumar

Pratibha Nandakumar – Is one of the foremost poets of Kannada literature, representing women’s poetry. Pratibha Nandakumar holds MA and M.Phil degrees from the University of Madras. She has worked as a translator at NGF and later as a journalist at Indian Express, Deccan Herald and Agni. She has also worked as an assistant director in the film industry and currently resides in Bangalore. Her poetry collections are ‘Navu Hudugiyare hige’, ‘E Tanaka’, ‘Rasteyanchina Gadi’, ‘Kavedeyaata’, ‘Aha Purushavataram’, ‘Avaru Puravegalannu Keluttare’, ‘Munnudi Bennudigala Naduve’, ‘Coffee House’, ‘Mudukiyarigidu Kalavalla’ are her poetry collection. ‘Yana’ is a collection of short stories. ‘Akramana’ a translated short stories collection. ‘Suryakanti’ translated Dogri poems.’Anudinada Antargange’ Autobiography by Pratibha Nandakumar. For her contribution in the field of literature, she has received many honorary awards including ‘Mahadevi Varma Kavya Sammana’, ‘Karnataka Sahitya Academy Award’, ‘Muddanna Kavya Prashasti’, ‘Dr. Shivaram Karanta Prashasti’ and ‘PuTiNa Kavya Prashasti’.
