Journalist and writer Raymond Dikoona Thakode hails from Thakode near Moodubire in Dakshina Kannada district. 

Born in a farming family, he did his primary education in Kannada medium, completed high school and PUC from Jain College, Moodbidiri and BA, L. L. B in Mangalore. He completed higher studies in Journalism from Mysore University. 

 As a journalist since 1985, he has been involved in the creation of literary works in Kannada, Konkani, Tulu and English languages ​​for 39 years. He is currently a full-time journalist and editor of Pingara.com, Pingara YouTube Channel, Pingara Twitter NEFT and Pingara Kannada News Paper. 

 He is currently the Secretary (2021-2025) of Konkani Bhasha Mandala Karnataka, Founder President of Press Club Moodbidri Taluk and Founder President of Akhila Bharatiya Charoli Konkani Sahitya Parishad.
